I hope everybody enjoyed the supporter’s blitz that was held on Saturday - and thanks for the support received. We all should be in high spirits and looking forward to a hectic two weeks ahead. All those who doubt Aces ability to avoid relegation, my message is, this is the time you got it wrong cause Aces is ready to fight until to the last second of the match and maintain its status in the PSL. Come Wednesday 22h00 all the doubting Thomase’s will be proven wrong as this will be the beginning of the war.
At the beginning of each season we all make resolutions with one thing in mind, to make sure we live up to them. Mpumalanga Black Aces have made one for the 2009/10 season - to consolidate its position of which we will succeed. We will make sure that we keep it as simple as possible so they become practical.
Again, the best of luck in all your endeavours to win in the forthcoming battle against Bidvest Wits. May GOD give us abundant success and also afford the Players, Technical Staff and the Management protection as we continue to take on these challenges.
Team progress so far:
The team is looking well, all the boys are ready and available with the exception of Tebogo "Tebza" Mokoena, Lehumo Itshegetseng who are both out with injuries. Sbusiso Themba and Mpho Maleka are doubtful starters and will require a last minute fitness test, while Energy Murambadoro can not play due to a clause in his loan agreement with Wits.
All of the boys will make every effort not to be ill disciplined or to indulge on anything that might adversely affect their fitness. Since commencement of training, the technical team has subjected them to several stringent tests to make sure everybody is physically and mentally ready for the remainder of the matches.
Our head coach Akis Agiomamitis and his technical team are currently working on ensuring that the boys are well prepared ahead of our game tomorrow and kick off is at 19h30. Our boys are upbeat and they will concur: "For us to remain in the PSL, we cannot afford to lose this all important home fixture."
In conclusion: The Wits game is not going to be easy as the Students are a tough team and supporters are assured of good tactical football on the night. We are not going to take this game lightly and regard it as a walk over. We are going to ensure that our supporters play their part and attend the game in full force. We are all going to fight to reach our goal. Remember Mazayoni, nothing in life is easy and for one to achieve, we must strive.
Amazayoni, Glory to God!!
