MPUMPALANGA BLACK ACES FOOTBALL CLUB - AMAZAYONI

Aces bolster technical team

Aces have a definite and decisive plan to regain PSL status and have announced that Dumisa Ngobe and Cyprian Maimane are to join the Amazayoni immediately to add major value to the technical team.
Dumisa Ngobe (pic above), the ex Bafana midfielder and Aces player – who was an assistant coach at Amazayoni before, will be transferred from his current position as Assistant Head of Youth and Coach at the Aces-Corinthians Academy. Cyprian "Mahala" Maimane, another ex-Aces player, who also previously had a stint at the club, will join the goalkeeping department. Both of these well known names will bring invaluable experience and knowledge to the brand and therefore bolster the technical team immensely.

After a lengthy planning meeting involving the directors, management and the technical team, the club has formulated a plan which aims at winning the promotion play-offs. All staff and players were assessed at the "imbizo" and various specific factors were taken into account.

Ultimately there will be a core group of players that will be the focus of the Head Coach, Aki Agiomamitis, which means there is a selected squad at training sessions and games. Players that are struggling with injuries or are recently recovered, not deemed fit enough at this stage will receive separate and specific training at the clubs’ academy base in Johannesburg. They will use this as a base to train individually and be monitored closely by the Aces technical staff, for immediate re-call when ready and necessary.

It’s clear that the coach requires a fully fit squad on which he can focus 100 percent. In terms of this the team has also added a team doctor (chiropractor and biokinetist) and an additional fitness coach to prepare the squad comprehensively and professionally.

There’s currently a huge confidence coming out of the camp, especially regarding the team’s results from the last six matches in 2010. These results have been very competitive and encouraging, which has seen Aces record their best run this season: they have lost only one of their last six games. This squad, with a few others, are to be rewarded for their endeavours by having focused and motivational sessions.
