The Chairmen and CEO of Mpumalanga Black Aces Football Club – Mr. Mario & George Morfou and Mr. Marc Grune, as well as Marketing Manager Grant Nicholls, met with the mother branch of Amazayoni the Emalahleni Supporters Committee yesterday afternoon at the Companies officers in Bedforview to re-assure them that the supporters and the committee are an important link to the club and that they remain a vital support structure to the club.
The Chairmen informed the committee to be very clear that as the Directors of the club their interest is to see supporters coming to the stadium to support the club rather than to insult players and club officials. Each supporter should therefore work very hard and be committed towards getting the team out of the relegation zone. They furthermore assured the supporters that they are a recognized body supporting the club.
Amazayoni boss, Mario Morfou, believes that Aces will now bounce back from some disappointing results after having a welcome rest and an extremely strong "pre-season" for the remaining campaign. We will then also be better equipped, supported and much stronger next season. The planning for that is already well underway.
The Chairmen further spoke on a variety of issues concerning the club, acknowledging that there has been a lot of work done as we prepare for the remainder of the season where we will be intending to rule hard and without respect.
"I, together with my board of Directors, my CEO and his staff, take the responsibility for making things happen at Aces. This is an ongoing process, and we are growing fast with great backing and support from various sectors of the province. Together we will be strong" he said to the supporters committee who left the meeting with much hope and confidence that Black Aces will remain a force in Mpumalanga.
The supporters committee were also given a chance to air their views about certain issues where they needed assistance in rallying supporters. In the end there was mutual understanding that the slogan for the remaining six games will be: "OPERATION SIX GAMES - SIX WARS". We are all going all-out to fill the Puma stadium for our last three home games and make a strong supporter showing at the away games. The campaign will be launched on Saturday and Sunday during a supporter’s blitz and ROAD SHOW around Kwa-Guqa.
